Wasn't Maizie supposed to be releasing a Boney M cover in July? Maybe she should stick to appearing on them! HA!HA! Sorry, couldn't risist that one. I've tried singing in a higher range but the cat got upset so l had to stop.

I assume she still is? She still looks amazing enough to be on a cover! Perhaps I should start putting the Tropicana in the bath from now on because it's definitely working for her! Bobby's not looking nearly as good but still holding his own and I was amazed last year when I saw him perform (and sing!). He really did get the audience going and was very funny! Singing 'No Woman No Cry' accapella was gift too and he did the same with 'Feliz Navidad' (changing the words to 'I wanna wish you a Happy Gay Pride' - there were thousands of people singing along with him - brilliant!). I had heard lots of mixed reports about previous gigs he'd done but this was really fantastic and he undeniably was the front man of Boney M.

the term 'Front Man' refers to any front person in a band, irrespective of Gender darling, but thanks for the observation. And all of Boney M. worked hard for the success; you'll just have to accept that I'm afraid and Maizie is as much a part of that as Liz - Maizie should get extra consideration for putting up with that baby of a lead-singer anyway! ;D From the sound of what that recent interview with Boney M. in Squeeze she's still acting like one.

I agree that Maizie was awful at miming, but what's the point of criticising Liz , Maizie, Marcia, Bobby on and on and on and on and degrading what was a good thing. Liz was/is a great singer- so is Marcia, Bobby was a great showman and Maizie (struggling now) worked hard too l'm sure and appears to be working very hard on her career right now partly because Frank Farian won't recognise and reward her contribution. Boney M together (all 4) were magic. Individually they have talent, but the joint appeal is much greater.

It was all of Boney M. that made it a success and in the studio it was three voacalists who made the Boney M. sound - Fact! Liz Mitchell is a great lead singer on certain songs; Marcia Barrett is easily the equal as lead singer on other tracks - Fact! The Boney M. dance tracks like 'Daddy Cool', 'Ma Baker', 'Rasputin' feature all of the vocal contributions equally and are by far the best of Boney M. - Fact! Liz Mitchell did not do it on her own - Fat Fact! ;D
