ola amigos. I'm probably the youngers boney m fan out there, I am/was crazy bout this band, first saw them in south africa 1987 at 4yrs with Reggie and not Bobby performing, best concert ever, but cos of the LP and vhs at home kinda always knew the real Boney m man was Bobby-rest his soul.
Right now i have mixed feeling bout the members except for Marcia, i really dont know what to make of these people who are my favourite band of all time but keep on letting me down. First it was the fact and discovery that some mimed which went together with the realisation that there is no santa clause (any way got over it).
Then it was the constant bickering from the members, if its not Bobby doing this, then its Maizie or Liz saying that. But like their father i forgave them and hated Frank, still do.
Then there's the horrification by some of Liz's awful perfomances. In my head she could never sing badly and yet again feels like Boney m let me down. And the bickering and fyt from the other fans aint helping either.
Anyway Liz and her band (cant get to call them Boney M) are coming to our country for their xmas special show and initially naturally (and naively as if it were Bobby, Liz, Maizie and Marcia coming), I rushed and bought front row seats tickets but now with the show close at hand and reality check I'm not so sure anymore.
Its strange how i can have such mixed feeling bout my favourite band of all times. Its worse cos i loved them so much therefore their let downs are the hardest to accept.
I'm giving you all boney m fans the floor to advice me on what to do. I dont wanna taint the few last great Boney M memories I have, so is it advisable to go to the show or will it be yet another let down?
