Has anyone bought the newly-released Boney M Greatest Hits DVD? I was just wondering how it compared to the one released a few years back. Is there anything different included? I quickly glanced at the track listing and didn't notice anything radically different, but you don't know with just the song titles - maybe they have included difference performances...

I have bought it and I have the old one. I think the only different track on it is 'Felicidad' but to honest the picture quality on that particular performance video is not very good. For many of the other tracks they have joined together many different performances of the same tracks so you get to see lots of different look Boney Ms. For me it was interesting as there was so much that I hadn't seen before. The only extras on this DVD are a discography which shows the different albums and track listing ( not very interesting really). There's no interview or other footage or alternate videos as on the past DVD. Is it worth it? It just depends how much to want to see a few different performances of the same songs. Could have been a lot better but I am glad I bought it.

^Thanks very much for that, really appeciate it. There's quite a bit of stuff on YouTube I've noticed, with their various performances on Musikladen and so on, so maybe better just stick with the earlier DVD in that case, doesn't sound like there's been much imagination involved in putting the other one together. Cheers.

Unfortunately you should save you money as no thought went into this DVD. There is some great footage of them on YouTube. I like the 'Belfast' video on Youtube which cuts four different performances by Boney M. of the track together. This is basically all that has been done with this latest DVD.
